This was my first trip with CPT but definitely will not be my last. Steve and Nasha were very knowledgeable, organized and thorough in planning our trip to Kenya. They made sure we were all taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. My trip to East Africa was an amazing experience, thanks to Nasha and Steve. Changing Pace Travel’s Kenya/Zanzibar Trip 1 surpassed all my expectations. After my first viewing of the Maasai Mara men (in their glorious red plaid attire) on YouTube 10 years ago, I knew I had to personally see if they indeed jump as high as 7ft in the air as claimed in the video. I wasn’t disappointed that I witnessed one or two of the men actually jumped as high as 5ft in the air. The excursion to the village and interactions with the Maasai people were inspiring, humbling, and beautiful! I never felt so much joy in that moment and time that I was realizing my dream was coming true! The entire trip curated by our hosts Steve and Nasha was like a seventh heaven smorgasbord! It was FANTASTIC! 🤣 Never a boring moment! From the delicious meals, to the exciting safaris, to bargaining at the local shops, to the entertainment of jungle drums and live music, to the pleasant fragrance of the variety of spices during an excursion, and so much more! Of course the grandest finale of the trip for me was the blessing of standing on one of God’s creations — an exquisite sandbank shaped like a half moon in the middle of the Indian Ocean. I’ve seen pictures of sandbanks, but to stand on this scenic beach walking in white soft, fluffy sand; staring out on to turquoise, clear waters (that seems to bring on thirst); and with blue skies above was soooo MAGICAL! This was an amazing trip and for such a large group one of the things I really love is Nasha and Steve don't treat anyone any different, they both have the personalities that make you feel very welcomed whether you are a new traveler or old. The trips only hiccup which had nothing to do with CPT; was the flight that was cancelled without notice or notification which I felt the need to mention because Nasha and Steve handled it like true champs. They were able to keep the group together, found housing, food and re-arrange flights in a short turn-around time which could have been a disaster for even a single person travelling!! So CUDOS to them!! They also did such an AMAZING job by completely preparing us for all items needed, meetings, power points, packing checklist, vaccinations and Visa requirements, etc. they even sent multiple reminders to not miss deadlines and even gave timelines of when to expect to receive items to prevent panic. For an experienced or non-experienced traveler they take away all the stress and frustrations; where you only need to focus on enjoying the trip. Additionally, the trip and itinerary was wonderful giving you the ability to have some down-time in between events, if needed. This was my 2nd trip with CPT and I'm looking forward to #3 Brazil!!!
